The Guelph Police Service is seeking an experienced Financial Services Manager to join our team. Guelph is a vibrant city of approximately 151,000 people located in the heart of southwestern Ontario, 100 km west of Toronto. As well as being home to the University of Guelph, the community offers a diverse variety of recreational, manufacturing, service, technology and innovative enterprises.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Police Service Board, the Financial Services Manager is responsible for all financial aspects of police operations and administration for the Guelph Police Service including the development of the multi-year operating and capital budgets ensuring alignment with the Service’s strategic plan.

**Position**Qualifications**:

- University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Must have a professional accounting designation (CPA) and be a member in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in similar roles, preferably within a municipal or public sector environment, including supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing financial strategies and plans including budgeting and forecasting
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and financial accounting systems
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to design and provide client focused services
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and resourceful
