This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinic Flow Assistant to join the Access & Flow team at Holland Bloorview. As an integral member of the inter-professional team, the Clinic Flow Assistant provides clinic support for coordination and support for clinics within the Ambulatory Care program. The position will work in collaboration with the other clinic staff to facilitate appropriate processes and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical and research team members, community partners, clients and families virtually and onsite to support effective clinical and client processes to provide an exceptional client experience
- First point of contact for clients and other disciplines, making connections for clients, families and clinicians across multi-professional teams
- Identify opportunities to streamline clinic flow and improve the client/family experience by working with clinical teams and actively engage and/or lead process improvement initiatives
- Coordinate clinical triage for the teams and liaise with client appointment services when triage is complete
- Coordinate clinic schedules including physician and clinician availability and types of clinics
- Prepare clinicians and clients for virtual and onsite appointments based on clinical needs with relevant documents and information
- Responsible for the preparation and coordination of onsite and virtual clinical appointments and assisting clinicians as required during appointment
- Maintain the flow of the clinic to make certain that clients attend all necessary appointments
- Complete heights/weights for clients and document in Health Record
- Take phone calls from parents, redirect calls to the appropriate clinicians, coordinate communication between clinicians, fellows, and clients
- Appropriately managing the clinic rooms before and after the sessions including cleaning between clients.
- Complete necessary clinic follow-up, which can include the coordination of external referrals
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, supports the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and advances a culture of client/patient safety through work and daily practices
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Graduate of a college program or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, volunteers, visitors, and other team members
- Experience in clinic flow coordination in a health care setting an asset
- Exceptional organizational skills required
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives an asset
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to independently take initiative and be self-driven
- Ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with multiple teams.
