**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with medical staff to ensure the well-being of patients in a hospital or clinical setting.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and documenting patient information.
- Perform laboratory tasks as needed, including specimen collection and processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to provide updates on patient status and needs.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting patient interactions and care procedures.
**Skills**
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols is preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is advantageous.
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
