Full-Time, 4 days a week

Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Thursday

6:30am-3pm (Flexible)

$20 per hour

**Description**:
The Food Bank of York Region needs a part-time Warehouse Associate to work under the Logistics Manager and alongside the Warehouse Manager, in a non-profit food distribution centre setting. Must be independent, can work well on your own, or with others in a team setting. Must be comfortable lifting 50+ pounds and be licensed to operate a forklift and walkie (electric pump).

**Eligibility**:

- Forklift Licenses
- Valid Drivers License
- Clean Drivers Abstracts
- Be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Some warehouse experience
- Must be able to read and write English well.

**Assets**:

- Having a DZ License

**Responsibilities**:

- Load and unload delivery/pick up vehicles with palletized food and non-food products, having weighed all product prior to loading/unloading, and completed appropriate inventory paperwork processes.
- Organize and stack pallets of food in the commercial freezers and refrigerators by best before/expiry dates, and date of allocations.
- Ensure drivers have all the necessary information for their daily routes (contacts, addresses, etc.) on weekends. Troubleshoot any delays, issues that may arise for the driver.
- Sweep and maintain clear and clean floor ways, proper disposal of garbage’s and cardboards.
- Assist with leading/training daily volunteers and volunteer groups in warehouse sorting and packing activities. Manage the overall volunteer program on Mondays/Thursdays, ensuring daily volunteers’ goals are met for the next days delivery requirements.
- Sort and re-arrange pallets within the warehouse, and warehouse shelving using the forklift and walkies.
- Accept/Record incoming donations at the drive-up warehouse door, weigh and sort into appropriate bins.
- Assist with agency pick ups, packing orders, weighing product, and completing proper inventory invoicing paperwork.
- Other duties as required and assigned by the Logistics Manager
- Possibility to work on days outside of set schedule (vacation/sick day coverage, etc.)

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
