**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient & staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Manager or designate, and takes direction from the Production Supervisor. Within the context of a client focused service culture, and in accordance within the established vision and values of the Organization, the Media Preparation & Pre-Press Operator-Printing is responsible for providing consultation and drafting, for approval, forms and printed media material. Utilizes printing industry standard software to draft, prepare and revise electronic pdf and paper-based forms and printed material(s) with an emphasis on efficiency and cost effectiveness. Works with the Production Supervisor to support the requirements of Island Health Printing Services.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Grade 12, successful completion of graphic design courses, and two years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
**Skills And Abilities**:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
