Job Title - Postdoctoral Fellow

Job responsibilities:
Overview of Role- Collaborate with a multi-partner research team- Ability to work independently on analytic components and develop working relationships with research partners- Lead/co-author analytic sections of quarterly and annual reports- Contribute to webinars and knowledge mobilization activities- Contribute analytic insights in preparing presentations for policy and employer audiences- Perform other duties as required

Data Analytics & Research- Lead analysis of provincial nursing workforce supply, IEN employment patterns and labour market integration in BC- Develop tables, figures and data narratives aligned with reporting requirements (Data abstraction and Visualization Skills (i.e. Histograms, tables, charts)- Advise on data limitations, comparability and methodological considerations across jurisdictions

Administrative- Prepare an overview of the provincial health care system annually- Analyze and interpret nursing workforce data including number of nurses by type annually- Provide summary on the employment of IENs annually- Prepare agendas, write formal minutes, follow-up necessary action items- Attend annual in-person meeting with project partners and provide project updates- Attend monthly virtual meetings with project partners and provide project updates- Engage with key provincial health employers

Communication Skills- Communicate across provinces with research counterparts- Document and disseminate employer leading practices for inclusion in employer online events- Engage with key provincial health employers to identify nursing vacancies and opportunities for newly licensed IENs and participate in project webinars- Present findings in employer and partner webinar series

Project Management- Maintaining analytic documentation, datasets and relevant outputs- Managing research data and analytical files to support reporting

Qualifications:

- Completed a Ph.D. within the last 5 years in a relevant discipline (e.g., nursing, public health).- A research record demonstrating research expertise congruent with career stage- Demonstrated ability in health services delivery and leadership.- Experience working with co-researchers and community-engaged research.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent problem solving and communication skills.
