Duties of the position:

- Coordinate & follow up with Ocean Carriers, Ports, Trucking companies and overseas agents to ensure on-time release and delivery of cargo
- Handling of shipping documents and prepare documentation for sorting & distribution of cargo
- Data entry / re-manifesting
- Follow up with CBSA on Cargo referred for Inspection / Examination
- Monitor cargo closely to meet deadlines and avoid delays
- Build strong relationships with service providers
- Other duties as assigned

Skills required:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding
- Bilingual (French and English) required
- Knowledge of Cargowise would be an asset
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Professional phone etiquette
- Team oriented
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- CIFFA certification or equivalent post-secondary education in the Transportation/Logistics Industry is an asset
