**Hours of Work**:37.5 weekly
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Properties, Properties Team Members will provide general internal and external maintenance and upkeep to the properties of YWCA Regina. Upkeep of the properties will include ensuring they are clean, well-kept and proactively maintained. This team member will work closely with the entire maintenance team to provide support if needed.
**Responsibilities**:
Tasks & Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Complete thorough daily and monthly inspections of the property. Notify direct supervisor of required repairs needed in a timely manner; Conduct any necessary repairs to the property and equipment. (Carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, minor door, and window repairs, lighting, drywall, painting, flooring, ceiling, etc.).
- Understanding of HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats, fire system etc. is an asset.
- Perform maintenance tasks like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts.
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
- Experience working and troubleshooting various building equipment and systems.
- Installing and troubleshooting necessary appliances and equipment as needed.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris; spray and remove weeds; sweep and clean).
- Small engine upkeep and maintenance.
- Perform janitorial/cleaning duties as needed.
- Ensure that specific areas of the property are in proper condition for annual licensing inspections.
- General knowledge of basic building repair, drywall repair, plumbing, carpentry etc.
- Ability to perform physical labor that involves movement for the majority of shift and able to lift items over 50lbs.
- Work on call shift on a rotational basis.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Grade 12-General Educational Development
- First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to complete within 3 months
- Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License required
- Bobcat certification or ability to get certification completed
- Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described
- Familiarity with general maintenance and ability to perform wide variety of maintenance duties
- Willingness to obtain additional training as needed. i.e. Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Working at heights, etc.
- Fluent in Microsoft Suite and confident to work on computers and with technology
