**Job description**

Founded in 2001, Triple Eight Transport is an Asset based Carrier in Abbotsford, BC who is primarily focused on offering freight management services across North America with our own fleet of Reefer and Dry Vans.

Triple Eight Transport is looking for a safety-driven, energetic and customer service-oriented class 1 Local Company Driver and Owner operator.

The **Class 1 local Truck Driver** will be responsible for picking up / delivering in Nanaimo city. Start times will vary, depending on the run and the day. Deliveries can be direct to store or full trailer load drops. Must do proper Pre -trip and post trip.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- A mixture of highway and inner-city driving
- Ensuring accuracy of all deliveries.
- Daily Pre-Trip Inspections
- Correctly loading and unloading 53ft trailers
- Provide excellent customer service
- Operate the delivery truck in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the DOT
- Adjusting weight and excels
- Performing other tasks as assigned
- Working on ELD and work flow
- **Looking for availabilities on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for about 20-30 hours a week.**

**Required Experience and Skills**
- Previous experience with commercial delivery driving
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with Airbrake certification.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a professional, outgoing and friendly personality
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual and available to work when required.
- Availability after hours and weekends when needed

**Salary**: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
