The Scheduling Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for the development of nursing staff master schedule. Coordination of the daily staffing schedules, staff replacement, completing payroll variance reports, ADP data entry and employee file maintenance.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain and review Master Timesheet, daily shift assignments
- Ensure Seniority List is uploaded to Software Program and followed
- Maintain Attendance, Absenteeism reports and updating staffing changes
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll reconciliation reports for nursing department. Ensure daily hours reflect the budgeting hours and report discrepancies to the Director of Nursing and Business office.
- Respond to nursing payroll/scheduling inquiries by nursing staff
- Prepare Master Schedules for mandatory education and performance appraisals
- Effective and strong communication skills
- Ensure compliance with Collective Agreement
- Prepare nursing job posting for vacant shifts
- Complete and maintain employee information is current and up to date as per facility policy
- Prepare nursing staffing reports
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct visitors and service providers
- Conduct regular inventory of nursing supplies, submit a list of products/supplies needs to Director of Care for final approval

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Successful completion of a bookkeeping program/certificate
- Computer skills and experience are required.
- Working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet and Outlook program is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Long Term Care home settings, LTC policies, procedures including MLTC funding is an asset.
- Knowledge with the respect to the needs of geriatric residents is an asset
- Knowledge of Union Contracts is desirable
- Ability to work effectively individually and with others while prioritizing tasks to handle the most urgent first.
- **MUST submit a current Police Check (Vulnerable Sector).**

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

COVID-19 considerations; Must follow Ministry of Health Guidance for Long-Term Care Homes. Mandatory Vaccination for Covid-19 is required. Police clearance with Vulnerable sector screening, Two-step TB test completed within the past six months. Pre-employment health assessment, employment reference checks.

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
