THE ROLE:
The Equipment Coordinator is responsible and accountable for coordination and effective utilization of all fleet, equipment and tools residing in all Backwoods business units. This includes inspection, cleaning, replacement, distribution, receiving, certification, calibration, and overall maintenance and testing as well as disposals. The role will be responsible for current and future development of this internal service as required by the business. This position currently reports into our Operations Manager, Logistics Solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

- Work with all business units to provide fleet, tools, and equipment to projects in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure physical inventories of MRO tools and materials are maintained and adjusted as required.
- Maintain Backwoods fleet to ensure all assets are ready to work. This includes receiving assets to Nisku yard post project, completing return inspections, reporting all deficiencies, cleaning assets, and ensuring all assets are equipped for future deployment.
- Work with regional and department teams to ensure logístical issues are addressed for delivery and return of assets to and from projects
- Develop and present shrinkage reports and costing post project.
- Work with various departments to estimate future costs for replacement, rehabilitation, or general maintenance requirements for all assets using industry standard practices.
- Work with current suppliers to ensure best service and costs are achieved in purchase and maintenance of all assets.
- Coordinate parts requirements and delivery for Backwoods maintenance team
- Develop and maintain strategic maintenance, calibration and recertification schedules for tools and equipment.
- Review, research, and report on technical specifications and standards related to infrastructure construction and maintenance in an effort to improve current programs and systems.
- Perform cost benefit analysis and risk management analysis related to asset management.
- Assist in budgeting.
- Undertake other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required or assigned within the scope of the position.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

- Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in Engineering Technology, Asset Management, or an equivalent field, with a recognized designation.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Extensive knowledge of fleet, tools and equipment related to Oil and Gas and Construction.
- Knowledge and experience in Asset Management and the use of Asset Management software.
- Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- High degree of accuracy with Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license with acceptable drivers’ abstract.
