- We are currently seeking a highly motivated bilingual (English/French) _**Category Manager**_ _to join our Quebec team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to improve the customer experience (internal and external) by working with suppliers, branches / sales teams, procurement and business leaders in Nedco Quebec._
- You love a challenge and can complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends to ensure Nedco is at the forefront with the offer and solutions we provide our customers._
- **Responsibilities**:_
- _Creation and execution of the strategy for your respective categories, in association with the national strategy. Includes managing local/regional suppliers, actively monitoring KPI's_
- _Deliver on category objectives with strategic supplier partners, ensuring they understand business priorities and needs._
- _Maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of your respective product categories and identify new product opportunities suitable for the markets we serve._
- _Analyze sales and margins reports to recognize trends and year over year variances within the category. Identify areas of opportunity for improvement and implement corrective plans where appropriate._
- _Execute cost savings initiatives (negotiated savings). Assess and managing the category risks and opportunities for the division related to these negotiated initiatives._
- _Conduct regular branch visits to better understand the challenges at branch level and deploy an action plan to enable the branches to better manage their business_
- _Implement and maintain effective communication between sales, marketing, procurement, operations groups._
- _Review, analyze, and submit stock package proposals respective to the product portfolio._
- _Work with our supplier partners and internal marketing team to develop and coordinate promotional awareness campaigns._
- _Conduct divisional supplier meetings and reviews_
- _Other category management responsibilities as required._
- **Qualifications**:_
- We are looking for an individual with Category Management experience and/or a strong knowledge of the Electrical Distribution market (Distributors, Suppliers, Agents, Products, etc)._
- _Deep knowledge of Electrical Distribution market._
- _3+ years of experience in a similar category role_
- _University/College degree in business or commerce_
- _Strong relationship building and business acumen skills._
- _Ability to be able to establish credibility and influence with business stakeholders_
- _Excellent interpersonal and communication skills._
- _Experience leading negotiations for products and services_
- _Strong analytical and problem-solving skills_
- _Ability to create project plans and execute with discipline_
- _Ability to travel as needed with overnight stay_
- _Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel_
