The Emergency Department (ED) has a daily patient visit of approximately 300 patients per day with volumes of almost 100,000 visits per year. We are looking for an energetic individual with a passion for working in a faced paced, ever changing and dynamic environment. This individual excels in data entry and supports the statistics needed for ED performance submissions as well as assists our diverse patient population’s needs while simultaneously having communications with internal, external stakeholders, and community partners. ED flow is also paramount in the delivery of patient care and this individual will work together with the team leader to ensure fluid transitions while performing a number of day to day responsibilities.

Qualifications include:

- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Recent experience as a Unit Clerk or other clerical experience.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer skills required (intermediate level of Word and Excel) and data entry.
- Basic mathematical/numerical skills and experience ordering supplies.
- Polite & efficient telephone manner.
- Proven ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Able to work well under pressure & co-operate with all Health Centre staff and patients.
- Demonstrate costumer service skills
- Satisfactory attendance record.
