**Position Overview**
We are seeking creative and skilled GIS Analysts to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This is a hybrid position. As a GIS Analyst, you specialize in evaluating data sets, writing code and cartography. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing support and expertise in the development of Meristem’s GIS capabilities to meet strategic objectives. Your GIS proficiency will be instrumental in establishing Meristem Insights Ltd. as a leading provider of Geospatial services.
**Responsibilities**:
**Data Management**:Create and maintain spatial and tabular information using a variety of software platforms.
**GIS Analysis**:Perform spatial analysis and geo-processing tasks to support our clients and the Meristem team.
**ESRI Mobile Support**:Support Mobile Mapping projects by using Web Mapping, Survey 123 Forms, Field Maps and Dashboards
**LRM Support**:Deliver LRM support to clients around the world. This includes Oracle and /or SQL Server database maintenance, writing info types, responding to client tickets, training clients to use LRM efficiently and effectively, and providing configuration and integration services with other software.
**Mapping and Communication**:Conduct spatial data editing and maintenance. Create maps and graphical materials for reporting, presentations and client relations.
**Tool and Script Development**: Scripting and automation of GIS tasks.
**Collaboration**:Work with other analysts and the broader Meristem team to ensure that every product we deliver to a client uses the best available expertise that Meristem has to offer.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Geography, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Certificate or Diploma in GIS
- 2-5 years of related GIS experience
- Proficiency with GIS programming and scripting languages
- Proven experience in forestry data management and analysis
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
