Our associates must represent our award-winning hospitality and customer service through guest interaction, communications, venue tours, tastings and sales. The position will start as an "assistant" for the initial 3 months and will develop into a primary role. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Perform venue tours with clients - Developing strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interaction - Complete client contracts and manage client accounts - Planning and executing events from booking to initiation (presence during each event is mandatory) - Organize all client meetings & consultations prior to event date - Complete function sheets and banquet orders for all upcoming weddings and events **- Available to work evening and weekends (especially “on season” i.e late spring-fall)** - Able to troubleshoot any issue on the spot - Provide administrative support to owner/sales team - Customer service including selling wines and promoting winery services - Perform other duties as requested **Skills & Experience** - College or University degree in Event Planning/Hospitality Preferred - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel - Excellent interpersonal & communication skills - Ability to handle a wide range of customers and multi-task in a fast paced environment - Team oriented with an ability to work independently - Excellent customer service skills - Strong organizational skills and accurate work practices - Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms - Must have valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation - Professional appearance and demeanor - Commitment to self-development and continuous learning - Must be able to meet physical requirements including lifting 40 lbs **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: - Newmarket, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - hospitality/tourism: 2 years (preferred) - event/venue coordination: 2 years (preferred)
