Math and Statistics Course Coordinator/ Instructor

triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking a **Math and Statistics Course Coordinator/ Instructor** to join our team at the **Mississauga campus** located inside **Square One Mall.**

**Primary Purpose**:
The Course Coordinator will also have a role in the classroom to organize and deliver curricula to students in an instructor led environment. In this role, approximately half the time will be spent teaching, and half the time will be spent on program coordination and curriculum development

The Math and Statistics Course Coordinator/ Instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness; embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Course Coordination Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the course curriculum, and work with the instructors to ensure course delivery within their programs is running effectively.
- Work with the Instructional Design and Digital Learning teams to develop instructional materials, such as instructor guides, evaluation tools (quizzes, tests, exams, and answer keys) and other resources for instructors and students. Encourage the participation of other faculty members in the development of instructional materials.
- Train and support new instructors teaching the course.
- Create, update, and maintain instructor guides
- Update and/or create lesson plans and assignments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes for the course.
- Ensure that curriculum updates are effectively communicated and reviewed with program faculty.
- Other duties as assigned.

Instructor Responsibilities
- Develop and/or utilize a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students.
- Instruct assigned courses in accordance with course competencies. Teach and facilitate classes.
- Enter student grades as per campus protocol.
- Advise students regarding their academic needs and refer them for additional assistance as needed.
- Identify students who are struggling, absent or have issues impacting their successful progress and escalate on proactive basis to the Student Education Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in Math or a related field is required.
- PhD in Math or Statistics considered an asset.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a math/ statistics work environment.
- Knowledge of D2L Brightspace or another Learning Management System (LMS) is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including inspiration, motivation, and facilitation.

**Hours of Work**:
This is a permanent full-time position. Hours of work will be 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The scheduled start for this opportunity is **immediate**.
