The Junior Artist is responsible for working on and developing various creative projects within West Edmonton Mall.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Painting and maintaining decorative paint finishes on murals and sculptures in West Edmonton Malls Parks and Attractions and Hotel.
- Providing input and creative insight into concepts, mural paintings, sculptures, and visual design projects.
- Utilizing previous artistic knowledge and experience while working with various products and materials for painting, sculpting and other finishes like epoxies and clear coats.
- Conducting surface preparations prior to painting finishes.
- Maintaining appropriate painting and design supplies, materials and resources.
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Creative ability and talent, as demonstrated by a portfolio of work, and knowledge of the safe use of various materials, tools and equipment.
- Experience in fine arts, visual arts, or a related discipline is a definite asset.
- Experience creating visual projects from scratch and working with a project manager.
- Customer service skills and the ability to work in close proximity to the public.
- Ability to stand and for long periods of time carry up to 50 lbs and work various environments within West Edmonton Mall.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a full-time position that is required Monday through Friday with the availability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
