**ABOUT US**

Kumon Math and Reading Centre - **Toronto Davisville Midtown **is actively seeking to fill the position of **Early Learner Assistant**.

**CENTER OPERATION HOURS**:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm

Assistants must be committed to the position for a minimum of one year

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Work with students starting from age 3 up to approx. grade 2
- Provide hints to guide students through their work
- Ensure students complete their classwork and corrections
- Take the Oral Reading Scores for each student
- Provide assistance to young students
- Give positive reinforcement
- Keep notes of observations of how students are working
- Maintain a neat and professional work area
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the Centre
- Office administrative duties and conversation with parents and students.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Priority will be given to applicants with Kumon experience, teachers and/or experience working with children
- Ability to multi-task, organized and ability to work under time pressure.
- Enjoys working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Dependable, friendly, presentable, and enthusiastic
- Customer service oriented

**EDUCATION**:

- Secondary School (required)
