**Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team at Calgary Italian Bakery Ltd. Located in Calgary, this role is essential for delivering outstanding customer experiences and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in upholding our bakery's mission of excellence.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve deli items with attention to quality and presentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food handling.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- _**Own vehicle will be considered a major asset.**_
- _**Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 3:30PM & every second Saturday from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.**_

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in food preparation or deli service.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to handle cash transactions efficiently.
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an asset.
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
