**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**

Merchandising Execution:

- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards across various product categories.
- Ensure product displays are visually appealing, well-organized, and aligned with the company’s brand image.
- Coordinate the setup of promotional displays and seasonal layouts.

Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory team to ensure stock levels are adequate.
- Conduct regular stock audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist in replenishing merchandise and managing stock rotations.

Sales Analysis and Optimization:

- Analyze sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for product placement and display adjustments.
- Work with the Merchandising Manager to develop strategies to increase sales and improve product performance.
- Track the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and make adjustments as needed.

Entrepreneurial Opportunity Identification:

- Identify and act on new opportunities for product displays, promotions, and merchandising tactics.
- Proactively suggest innovative ideas to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to spot opportunities for improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with the buying team to understand upcoming product launches and promotions.
- Partner with store management to ensure that merchandising efforts align with store operations and customer needs.
- Communicate with the marketing team to coordinate in-store promotional activities and signage.

Customer Experience:

- Engage with customers to gather feedback on product displays and store layout.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with product inquiries and offering recommendations.

Training and Development:

- Mentor and train junior merchandisers and store associates on merchandising standards and techniques.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve merchandising skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably within a multi-category retailer.
- Strong visual merchandising skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using merchandising tools and software.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to identify and act on opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required.
- Willingness and ability to travel between store locations as needed.

As we are currently growing and opening new locations, the ability to travel between store locations within the GTA, Ottawa, and other places is essential.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, or related field preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically up to 40 pounds.
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $47,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
