Primary Duties
The Project Coordinator plans and coordinates a diverse range of programs and projects relating to the operation and maintenance of primarily underground water and wastewater infrastructure assets. The salary range for this position is $86,464 - $112,2861. The incumbent is responsible for the planning, coordination, instruction, inspection, quality control, tracking and reporting of the departmental maintenance programs and projects for valves, hydrants, water and sewer laterals, leak detection, maintenance holes, residual flushing, sewer overflows, restorations, etc. S/he ensures that decisions and activities are aligned with corporate values, policies, applicable standards and regulations.

**Major Responsibilities**:
1. Develop, plan and coordinate the delivery of the department’s operational maintenance plans, programs, and projects for valves, hydrants, residual flushing, leak detection, maintenance holes and other water and wastewater linear infrastructure.
2. Organize the internal resources required to ensure the infrastructure maintenance plans, programs and projects are completed, and communication is provided to relevant stakeholders.
3. Work with the Subforepersons in Water and Wastewater System Operations to prioritize operational maintenance plans, programs and projects.
4. Work with the Service Advisor and Engineering group to intake and coordinate customer requests including new development commissioning support.
5. Conduct regular group and/or site meetings to discuss program and project status, schedules upcoming activities and coordinate customer notifications as required.
6. Develop and prepare the layout of work for internal crews and/or contractors.
7. Work with internal and external personnel to coordinate resources to achieve program and/or project objectives and ensure infrastructure is operated and/or repaired to meet the appropriate standards and delivered as per the defined scope and timeline with the allotted resources.
8. Plan and coordinate the delivery of restoration work to meet applicable standards.
9. Track and report key performance indicators and progress on the infrastructure maintenance plans, programs and projects, as well as restorations.
10. Track and report progress to budget and provide recommendations to the Supervisor on required adjustments/changes.
11. Working with the management team, aid in the development and/or revision of the department’s operational maintenance plans, programs and projects based on industry best practices and asset management plan service levels.
12. Responsible for monitoring and reporting data, metrics and deviations of the water distribution system identified or reported from the software systems.
13. Responsible for reporting work quality and quantity issues and identifying opportunities for efficiencies in work/processes to the Supervisor.
14. Act as the point of contact in the department to intake, track and resolve customer complaints and report work quality and quantity issues to the Supervisor.
15. Play a key role as a member on the Non-Revenue Water Loss Team.
16. Participate in procurement processes for various services and projects.
17. Procure goods and services for the department and track expenses and/or revenues for operational plans, programs and projects.
18. Liaise with various regulatory authorities as it relates to operational maintenance plans, programs and project requirements.
19. Function as Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) for Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection.
20. Function as Acting Supervisor.
21. Establish and foster excellent working relationships with departmental staff as well as cross functionally within the organization and with external customers.
22. Provide performance feedback and coaching to employees in the department, as well as, relay employee performance details to the management team.
