We are currently looking for a **Estimator** to join our team in our **Belleville **branch, located at **405 College Street, East, Belleville, ON. **If you are a dynamic, creative, self-starter why not join our team and put your career on a path to success
**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Quotations Manager, the Estimator is responsible for the pricing and technical information on day-to-day inquiries for projects primarily focused on the heating side of the business. Assists in the preparation, distribution and follow-up of projects, shop drawings, maintenance manuals and job releases.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Prepares quotes for specified customers using the internal bid program.
- Acts as consultant to sales representatives, order desk representatives and specified customers. Ensures all estimates are accompanied with relevant documentation.
- Prepares quotes within the deadlines specified.
- Follows up current bids and update information where needed and gather information daily on current bid jobs and prepare weekly report.
- May be required to take orders as backup to order desk and counter.
- Ensures quoted products are ordered, and allocated properly. Coordinate for delivery when required.
- Assists in preparation of shop drawings and maintenance manuals for contracts that have been secured. Confirms that shop drawings have been approved accordingly in order to continue with the purchase.
- Maintain files, paper and electronic.
- Execute other duties as directed by immediate superior.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- 1 Year experience working the order desk in a Plumbing/HVAC wholesale environment preferred
- 1 Year previous experience in an Estimating role preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC and hydronic systems
- Possess math skills with a level of competency to calculate cost for the customer
- Previous experience operating AS400 system
- Working knowledge of with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
