Personal Support Worker/Educator

3S Wellness Inc. is expanding and we are currently recruiting to fill part-time and full-time (casual and permanent) **Personal Support Worker (PSW) **positionsworking with Indigenous men and youth in our Montreal Support Homes.

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide support, promote autonomy and quality of life to our clients with physical and intellectual disabilities.

**Tasks**:

- Provide companionship and assistance to clients
- Personal Care may be involved for some clients (including dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, and other routine activities of living in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act)
- Follow academic programs provided
- Facilitate activities - such as teaching life skills, emotional regulation, and anger management
- Observe and analyze clients behaviors, participate in the assessment of their needs and abilities
- Encourage clients to engage in activities based on assessment
- Ensure the supervision of our clients and crisis management while providing emotional support
- Accompany clients when necessary to school, on outings, or to appointments
- Administer medication on-time and in correct dosage
- Maintain an orderly environment
- Meal Preparation
- Properly maintain documentation regarding client activities, tasks, progress or reporting concerns
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Holds an AEC or a DEC in an appropriate discipline (special care counseling, social service, Assistance to the person in an establishment and at home, (PAB), Personal Care Attendant) OR a bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: psychology, sociology, psychoeducation, human relations, social work
- Prior work experience with individuals who have cognitive/physical disabilities
- First aid certification is an asset
- Knowledge of French and/or Inuktitut language(s) is an asset
