**About the role**

Reporting to the Country General Manager, the **Business Development Manager (Canada Medical Services)** will primarily be responsible for building new account relations, identifying new business prospects, and securing new business contracts.

This is a **full-time remote position** with a travel requirement of up to 30% of the time. The hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm but flexibility is required based on client need.

The successful incumbent will be an experienced closer and natural networker with the ability to map out key account plans from cold calling to contract signing. Bilingualism in French is an asset.

**Key responsibilities**
- Identify and secure prospective clients to drive new business acquisition target achievement
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of clients. Market segments of key interest are oil and gas, energy, construction, mining, and other remote workplaces
- Understand customer needs, requirements, and market trends. Identify buying influences and develop contacts at the highest appropriate levels within target clients and prospects
- Ensure professional representation of International SOS at client and industry specific functions and maximize networking opportunities
- Coordination of internal stake holders and strong technical writing experience for RFP proposals
- Balance the ongoing need to manage the long-term strategy of key opportunities while delivering on the current requirements of the business.
- Continually evaluate progress within the market segment against sales pipeline objectives, revenue, and profit targets and client account plans
- Ensure the professional standard of all written client proposals, tender documents, and communication is adhered to, in line with company standards and pricing procedures
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Managing the sales pipeline, from the start of all engagements with prospects/clients, timely updating any changes (i.e. stages, competitors, and resolutions causes for WON and LOST opportunities)
- Tracking of all activities/points of contact with prospects/clients, providing detailed information on what was discussed/decided and on exchanged documents
- Ensuring that all owned records (accounts, contacts, opportunities, etc.) are timely and accurately updated

**About you**

**Required Work Experience**:

- Proven experience in a sales role with a track record of achievement
- Experience of working with clients in Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure and Defense.
- Seven + (7+) years B2B sales experience a must.
- Prior consultative sales experience with senior management

**Required Qualifications**:

- University degree

**Required Languages**:

- Ability to communicate in English fluently (oral and written) an absolute must. French would be a definite asset.

**Required Behavioural Skills**:

- Well-developed influencer and negotiator with the ability to motivate and influence internal and external clients to commit to buy and the drive to close sales.
- Experience engaging with various levels at corporate and field level.
- Good strategic thinker with strong planning and organization skills who has the experience to develop solutions by adopting a consultative sales approach.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously, including activity planning and pipeline management.
- Strong individual who can work autonomously and within a team to deliver results.
- Ability to research and successfully gather all the required/relevant information relating to a client, prospect, and/or individual/contact to support each stage of the sales process
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned region
- Clean driving record
