Overnight Services Supervisor

**Job Purpose**
Reporting to the main PAQ Shelter Coordinator, the Overnight Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring consistent and continuous quality services to PAQ Indigenous community members during the overnight hours. The person in this role oversees the intervention team and has the overall responsibility to ensure participant and staff safety and security at all PAQ sites from 12am to 7am, and compliance with all PAQ intervention protocols and procedures during this period. The person in this position is the main contact for all overnight staff and security in case of an emergency during this time frame. He or she provides supervision, coaching, emergency back up and intervention crisis support to overnight intervention workers and security during regular visits to all PAQ sites, and on an on-call basis.
The person in this role is a senior Intervention Worker, with some experience in team management or supervision.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Visit each PAQ site (currently 3) a minimum of one time during each overnight shift, and on an as-needed basis in case of emergencies.
- Communicate and ensure compliance of all site policies and protocols during overnight hours, including protocols related to COVID-19.
- Provide supervision, coaching and general support to overnight intervention teams on a regular basis.
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency support to intervention staff and security on an on-call basis. Ensure that intervention crises are managed in a professional and compassionate manner, and that emergency services are contacted when necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates on the on-line scheduling platform for changes to hours worked by members of the overnight intervention team.
- Coordinate and track all performance-related matters for overnight intervention workers and bring them to the attention of the relevant Shelter or Program Coordinator.
- Manage any overnight operational emergencies, such as broken equipment, flooding, fire, etc. and follow-up with operations staff when needed.
- Serve as the main contact for Emergency Services (police, ambulance, fire) during overnight hours.
- When requested by the Intervention Services Manager, provide support to intervention worker recruitment processes.
- Oversee the completion of all incident reports during the overnight shifts, and the recording of all relevant statistics for overnight shelter operations.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- **Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a senior intervention role, preferably within an Indigenous organization, and/or within the homelessness sector**
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in a team supervision or coordination role in a community-based organization.
- Bilingualism: working knowledge of French and English; knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset.
- Strong familiarity with online scheduling, data collection, and case management platforms.
- Strong coaching skills; able to provide feedback in a constructive manner.
- Ability to communicate well with team members and use a collaborative approach
**Required Academic or Other Qualifications**
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Completion of OMEGA or other similar crisis management training program is an asset.
- First Aid certification is mandatory.
**Other Requirements**
- Availability to work overnights
- Must have own car for travel between sites; mileage will be reimbursed at Québec government posted rate.

**Contract**:Full-time permanent contract (35 hours per week)
**Location**:This is a roving role, moving between 3 PAQ sites in downtown Montréal. This is an on-site role and cannot be carried out remotely.
**Schedule**:
- 35 hours per week

- $28.50/hour
