**About the Role**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Saw Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the saw and cutting material stock to the correct length and measurements as per requirements.

**Position Details**
- **Position Status**: Full-Time
- **Location**: Calgary, AB (NE)
- **Shift**: Day Shift (Mon-Thurs, 6am to 4pm)

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Maintaining equipment and always ensuring cleanliness and safety of the work area
- Performing basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment
- Identifying the required cut length measurement and selecting the suitable saw
- Measuring and cutting raw steel accurately to ensure the appropriate length requirements
- Regularly operating equipment including forklift
- Operating the rotating saw and understanding its maximum capabilities
- Adhering to health and safety protocols including always wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities**
- Working knowledge and previous experience operating a saw and forklift
- Demonstrates ability to understand and adhere to the safety protocols
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and supervisors
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Must be able to lift heavy parts up to 23 kg (50lbs)
