The Aurum Group is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Lab Manager to join our dynamic dental laboratory in Calgary, Alberta. The Orthodontic Dental Lab Manager oversees the daily operations of an orthodontic laboratory, ensuring the timely and high-quality production of orthodontic appliances such as retainers, splints, aligners, expansion devices, and bonding trays. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, and client communication to support orthodontic practices and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Performance Requirements and Expectations:

- Supervise and coordinate daily lab workflow, case intake, and production schedules.
- Monitor work-in-progress and resolve bottlenecks to meet turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and lab standards.
- Oversee appliance fabrication quality across various orthodontic devices.
- Implement corrective actions based on remake/adjustment trends.
- Maintain documentation including case notes, QC logs, and photos.
- Support digital workflows including scan processing, CAD design, and 3D printing and milling.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on orthodontic standards and productivity.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
- Liaise with orthodontists and practice staff to clarify prescriptions and confirm timelines.
- Provide updates on case status and address client concerns.
- Full time position: Monday to Friday.

Skills and Qualifications:

- 5 plus years of experience in an orthodontic lab.
- Proficiency in orthodontic appliance fabrication and finishing.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM tools (e.g., 3Shape Ortho/Appliance Designer).
- Experience with 3D printing workflows and digital model preparation.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- RDT status would be an asset.
- SUCCESS METRICS: On-time case completion and reduction in remakes, positive feedback from clinicians and repeat utilization, accurate documentation and schedule adherence, and team productivity and training progress.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
