We work closely with the leading industry suppliers to develop products and sound solutions and to ensure the best result on each project. **Job description** Duron Ontario Ltd is looking for a hard-working experienced Concrete Finisher to finish industrial/commercial high-performance concrete floors (FLATWORK) - Individuals must be able to hand float/towel edges, run 24" - 48" walk behind power trowel machines, and run 8" - 10" ride-on power trowel machine to float & trowel concrete floors. - Must be willing to work on placing crew and prep crew when no finishing work is scheduled. - Must have your own finishing hand tools - Must have a valid driver's license & own reliable transportation - Will need to join a union (good benefits, pay, pension) - Individuals must have a strong work ethic, be punctual & reliable - Must be willing to work on prep crew or other divisions when not placing concrete - Experience is an asset, but training opportunities are offered to motivated individuals - Up-to-date Safety Training & Certificates is an asset but training is available **Overview**: - Promote Duron’s safety regulations - Work in compliance with the occupational health and safety act and regulations, as well as, the company health and safety responsibilities and accountabilities - Work as a member of a team to cast concrete slabs - Work as a team member to assemble all the parts of a slab - Work without supervision when required to produce an acceptable finished product - Work flexible hours to meet the production demand - Perform any function that the foreman deems necessary to achieve production requirements - Ensure that each piece is cast to specification including any surface finish - Make repairs to concrete surfaces as necessary **Qualifications**: - Extensive experience with finishing concrete surfaces - Ability to do shift work during afternoons/evening/nights mainly - Reliable work habits and attendance **Major Responsibilities**: - Proficient use of the tools required to achieve a quality finished product - Capable of achieving the required appearance finish of the products requested by customers - Skilled user of a power trowel **Working Conditions**: - Frequently required to lift or carry up to 20 lbs. on occasion up to 50 lbs. - Pushing / pulling objects up to 100 lbs. is sometimes required - Majority of work is done on your feet either standing at machines or walking around the pour area - Sometimes required to bend, crawl, squat, or jump while working - Full range of motion and use of both arms and hands are a necessity **Physical Environment**: - Typical construction site atmosphere - dust, noise, and varying temperatures - Frequently exposed to temperatures of either extreme heat or cold - Sometimes required to work in confined spaces or at heights - From time to time respirators may be worn **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: - Night shift
