about this role
The Learning Design Specialist designs and develops learning solutions in partnership with Senior Learning Designers that address the root cause of performance gaps across multiple business channels and audiences. Uses learning design best practices, create global learning assets that motivate to learn, guide to the appropriate content, and provide meaningful practice experiences that lead to the confidence to apply. The Learning Design Specialist creates a global repository of highly engaging and interactive learning experiences that drive performance outcomes required to execute on lululemon strategy, business goals, and support career development.

**a day in the life**: what you’ll do
- Provide constructive input and contribution during all phases of learning design (ADDIE and/
- or SAM).
- Support with discovery sessions to identify the root cause of performance gaps and then
- identify recommended learning solution.
- stakeholders (including our learners).
- Design and develop engaging and motivating learning materials grounded in sound learning
- design principles (e.g., lesson plans, PowerPoints, eLearning courses (using Articulate
- products), participant guides, job aids/ activation documents, and performance support
- tools).
- Design and develop basic multimedia content, including audio and video assets, illustrations,
- animations, and interactive content.
- Support in the evaluation of implemented learning solutions

qualifications
- A passion for guiding and supporting our collective in discovering, developing, and
- activating their unique potential for the world.
- Two years’ experience (formal or informal) building learning experiences (identifying learner
- needs and opportunities, setting behavioural outcomes, designing and developing learning
- experiences, and evaluating impact).
- Experience developing interactive online learning experiences using rapid eLearning
- authoring tools, preferably Articulate products.
- Awareness of current virtual/ instructor-led and online instructional best practices.
- Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia software, preferably Adobe software
- (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, Animate, Muse) and rapid video creation.
- Proficiency in priority/ project management, presenting ideas and concepts, and ability to
- quickly develop trust.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines if needed on projects.
- Social media presence creating engaging content an asset.
- Experience in preparing and troubleshooting SCORM/ AICC compliant eLearning packages
- and working knowledge of SCORM and AICC standards an asset.
- Certification or course work in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Marketing, or equivalent
- experience
