- **Job Summary**_

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated full-time **Erosion and Sediment Control Specialist **for our location in one of our Calgary, Edmonton, or BC offices. Working in the Environmental group—in collaboration with Project Managers—the ESC Specialist will be specifically accountable for:

- Evaluating erosion risk, based on-site specific conditions
- Preparing site-specific Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for high-risk areas
- Providing responsible oversight to support construction personnel, and giving adaptive management advice and implementation, where warranted
- Performing ESC inspections, monitoring, and documentation
- Demonstrating technical leadership and mentoring staff within a team environment
- Working collaboratively within project teams to produce quality deliverables in an efficient manner
- Working well to solve problems while under pressure, and completing tasks under tight deadlines in a timely manner
- Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within CCI Group of Companies corporate culture.
- **Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Training**_
- **CPESC or CPESC-IT** (EnviroCert International)
- **CISEC or CESCL** (Erosion and Sediment Control Association of BC)
- **Erosion and Sediment Control Practitioner** (ESCP) from VOI
- **RP Bio, PBiol, P.Ag., or RFP** designation, or eligibility.
- A history of erosion and sediment control planning for pipelines, linear developments, and major construction projects
- Experience assessing erosivity factors, such as rainfall, runoff, soil type, and erodibility conditions on construction sites
- Skill in the design and placement of site-specific erosion and sediment control measures
- Knowledge of ESC products and best management practices (BMPs), including their installation and maintenance
- Certification or experience in related fields (e.g., environmental, engineering, hydrology, geo-science), are considered assets
- Standard safety certifications for working in the Construction Industry are also considered as assets
- Knowledge of the provincial and federal regulatory environment
- High-standard organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ambition for business growth and work closely—both in a field lead and support capacity—with other environmental professionals, environmental discipline leads, and First Nations clients and colleagues
- Evidence of physical fitness
- Proficiency in the operation of field equipment and a valid driver’s license.
