EXCAVATOR/FRONT END LOADER EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

**Location**: 332 Clarence St, Brampton, Ontario
**Position Type**: Full-time - Permanent - Day Shift
**Reporting**: Operations Manager
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, every 2nd Saturday, 7am to 4pm

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Excavator/Front End Equipment Operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Loading and grinding wood with an excavator.
- Loading trailers of woodchips with an excavator.
- Pushing wood & woodchips with a front-end loader.
- Work closely with all departmental teams in a positive supportive manner, placing the highest value on respect for collaborative contribution and the unique expertise that each department’s staff bring to the combined group.
- Ensure equipment operates cost effectively, while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Work with you supervisor to provide recommendations on asset life expectancies, replacement schedules and new asset specifications.
- Ensure scheduled preventative maintenance and associated paperwork meet MOL requirements and Miller Waste criteria.
- Must complete daily Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections on all used equipment.
- Must be able to help with some maintenance and light repairs of heavy equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, forklifts, skid steers, shredders, separators and stackers.
- Must be able to help with preventative maintenance cleaning (conveyors, shredders, separators, stackers and other sorting equipment).
- General repairs to equipment as required, which could include fire suppression system.

**Requirements**:

- Must be a team player.
- Self-motivated individual and be able to work with others.
- Excellent organization skills and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Previous equipment experience is required.
- Function safely around equipment.
- Must follow all Miller Waste Safety policy’s & procedures.
- Must be available to work weekends and overtime as required.
