**Shift Time for Accounting Technician**

**Responsibilities for : Accounting Technician**
- Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks (desktop and online) and Taxprep or a similar tax program are assets
- Prepare compilation (Notice to Reader) files
- Prepare personal (T1), trust (T3) and corporate (T2) income tax returns
- Prepare T4 (payroll) and T5 (dividend) returns
- Provide client accounting
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
- Understand client businesses, their key risks and think strategically about client needs
- Oversee senior accountants/bookkeepers/admin staff and provide feedback to team members

**Qualifications**
- 2‐5 years of public accounting experience in performing Notice to Readers an asset
- Ability to prepare T1 and T2 tax returns and T4 and T5 slips
- Prepare government reports (HST, payroll, corporate, etc)
- Proficiency in Quickbooks, Caseware, Taxprep an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Self‐starter with strong attention to detail
- Ability to deliver in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environment
- A desire to provide outstanding client service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, team members and outside parties
- CPA, CA Ontario, Canada designation or currently enrolled in the CPA program

**Salary Range**
- $55000-$70,000 plus bonus
- (Salary will depend on level of experience)
