Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Clinic Manager of Medical Outpatient Unit (MOU), WMC, and Adult Day Medicine Unit (ADM), KEC, the incumbent will provide clerical support and manage the flow of information for staff and physicians in these high flow, high volume ambulatory treatment areas. As the front-line contact, the incumbent is required to provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and must have the ability to coordinate the program resources in order to meet the needs of the patients referred for treatment. The incumbent will act as the primary point of contact for patients, families and team members. Must be able to demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility, and initiative while meeting the needs of Patients, Families, and other team members including but not exclusive to Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Managers, and outside agencies.

Description:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Over 2 years of recent experience in a similar administrative role, specifically within the last year, in a high-volume ambulatory clinic setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Extensive experience with Connect Care informatics system, having held roles such as Schegistrar. Demonstrated strong multi-tasking, conflict resolution, and conflict management skills in dynamic clinical settings. Capable of independently completing tasks with mínimal supervision; currently the sole administrative support in a busy clinic environment. Ability to sustain prolonged computer work, maintaining focus and accuracy over extended periods. Holds current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
