Dental Assistant

**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office.
- Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
**Skills**
- Registered Dental Assistant Level II, in good standing
- Proficiency in using dental software including Dentrix;
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience or interest in specialized areas such as Pediatrics or Orthodontics is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
