**About the Role - Teacher/Tutor/Facilitator**

We’re looking for passionate educators who can guide students through Sylvan’s proven learning programs in **English, French, and Math**. You’ll deliver engaging sessions, track student progress, and help make sure learning _clicks_ for every child.

**What You’ll Do**
- Prepare for each session by gathering materials and reviewing student plans
- Greet and engage students, initiating instruction in a welcoming way
- Teach using Sylvan’s curriculum and methods tailored to each learner
- Manage time, tasks, and learners to deliver effective and balanced sessions
- Monitor and record student progress on individual programs
- Use praise, encouragement, and Sylvan Tokens to celebrate milestones
- Complete session notes and learning logs, and support transitions
- Communicate student needs with staff and participate in team meetings
- Complete training and certification for Sylvan programs you deliver

**What We’re Looking For**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (required)
- Valid or expired teaching certification, or currently pursuing (preferred)
- 1-2+ years of teaching or tutoring experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in both **French and English** is an asset
- Familiarity with Nova Scotia curriculum strongly preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all ages
- Organized, flexible, and solution-oriented
- A reliable, collaborative team player

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
