**TutorOne is currently looking for an in-person tutor to teach Grade 5 English for Special Needs Student: Reading/Comprehension**

TutorOne is looking for enthusiastic people with a vision to help students cultivate the skills necessary to be independent learners, and to help boost their confidence by allowing them to grow in a comfortable learning environment. It is imperative that our tutors are able to customize their teaching style to suite the individual requirements of the student at hand. Our students may have any of the following exceptionalities:

- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Auditory and Visual Processing Disorders
- Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities
- Language Based Learning Disabilities
- Deafness/ are Hard of Hearing
- Blindness/ are Partially Sighted

**Responsibilities**
- 3-10 hours of weekly commitment
- Availability for in-person lessons.
- Maintain a predictable schedule that may include evenings and weekends for clients.

**Qualifications**:

- Fluent English speaker (required).
- Experience teaching students with special needs.
- Experience working with children and adolescents.
- A degree or diploma in some area of education, social work, health, wellness or autism support.
- Access to a car is an asset (for in-home applicants).
- Bachelor's degree or higher is a requirement.

**Expected Skills**:

- Full proficiency of the material taught.
- Confidence & patience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism & reliability.
- A short interview will be conducted in person to look at teacher's abilities.
- Applicants will be given a list of items on what to expect from the interview.
- Based on the results of the interview, the exact hourly rate will be determined.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $25.00-$38.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
