Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world’s largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and experienced** Junior Health and Safety Coordinator Co-op **in **Toronto, ON.**

Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry-leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.

We are currently seeking **Junior Health and Safety Coordinator co-op** for** 8 months** to work in **Toronto, ON.**

**Responsibilities**

Assist on the Safety Management System Project:

- Assist in the establishment of an OHSA 18001 and COR certified safety management system
- Convert the existing manual to the new format
- Build a filing system for each individual program
- Put manual binders together for each individual program
- Label, sort and process all project documents
- Ensure that all soft documents and folders and subfolders mirror all hard documents
- Ensure overall continuity of documents and process associated with project

Assist in general Health and Safety duties:

- Assist in the perpetration of a project specific documents
- Prepare monthly H&S statistical reports
- Gain quotes for H&S materials and equipment
- Assist in organizing H&S training workshops and workshop materials
- Source and Order Safety equipment and supplies
- Maintain external Client Safety Information Systems (i.e. ISNetworld)
- Assist in the delivery of the Office H&S Orientation
- Inspect and Maintain Office First Aid Stations
- Assist with the organization of the corporate office Joint Health and Safety Committee

**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant practices
- Enrolled in an official co-op program
- Experience in corporate health and safety and/or construction is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to pay attention to details
- Ability to work in a team environment
