At **Earthscape**, we create beautiful, innovative custom playground sculptures and structures that inspire children and adults to creatively play. By partnering with some of the most prestigious Landscape Architecture firms in North America, we bring brilliant playground concepts to life. Our award-winning design-build firm is located just outside of Elmira, Ontario in Waterloo Region.

Currently, we are looking for a **Carpenter Supervisor **to join our growing team. The role of this team member is best suited to someone with experience in custom carpentry in a fast-paced shop. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, your job will be to lead a fabrication crew in our collections shop, ensuring that tasks and projects are completed in alignment with the construction schedule. You will assist in coordinating and scheduling tasks for the team, ensure health and safety regulations are followed, establish methods to meet work schedules, and recommend personnel actions. Ultimately, you will take ownership of growing and developing this team, and overseeing all aspects of playground construction.

- have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings;
- have a minimum of five years skilled carpentry experience (bonus for custom carpentry or landscape construction experience);
- have the natural ability to motivate and develop your team and those around you;
- have a minimum of two years of experience leading a diverse team of individuals;
- are competent in operating all types of standard wood shop machinery;
- have a growth mindset, learn from your mistakes and are keen to discuss continuous improvements for yourself and your team;
- have previous experience working with large timbers to build custom designed playable-wood sculptures;
- have excellent attention to detail;
- possess excellent organization skills;
- have a natural ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently;
- have a creative mind and willingness to think outside the box.
