Food Runner

**Job Overview**
The Food Runner is responsible for transporting food items and other necessary catering equipment and supplies needed from either the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre or Coast Hotel Lethbridge up to the offsite catering venues.

**What you’ll do**
- Drives and parks company vehicles safely, including cube trucks
- Checks vehicle safely, fills gas if needed and reports maintenance issues
- Loads, delivers, and unloads food and equipment securely for offsite events
- Follows Banquet Event Orders and coordinates with kitchen and event supervisors on food service timing and special instructions
- Handles food with care, following safety protocols throughout transport and service
- Helps set up food stations, delivers food to correct events areas, and assists with buffet setups
- Cleans, returns, and organizes catering equipment, dishes, and linens after events
- Ensures proper return of vehicle keys, parking and cleanliness
- Assist with service during downtimes (clearing tables, resetting rooms, supporting food service staff)
- Supports function room setup, back-of-house organization, and buffet restocking
- Communicates with event supervisors to provide additional support and help in event operations as needed.'

**Basic qualifications**
- Valid Driver's Licence and clean driving record
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Be able to read a Banquet Event Order (BEO)

**Preferred qualifications**
- Experience in food service or handling food products during transportation
- Background in hospitality or guest services to enhance customer interactions
- PRO Serve Certification
- Food Safe Certification

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 32 per week
