- Commensurate with experience

**Shifts available**:
Days: 6:00am - 4:30pm (Mon - Thurs OR Tues - Fri)

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing (WBM) designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance** **and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. Weldco-Beales is currently recruiting an experienced **Maintenance Technician** for the **Barrie** manufacturing team. This position will report to the **General Foreman**.

**What you will do**:

- Ensure the safe working operations and longevity of all equipment through regular preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
- Plan and carry out larger maintenance projects, as needed
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Check bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy construction, agricultural, logging and mining equipment for proper performance
- Service attachments and working tools such as harvesting and tillage equipment, blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
- Assist in the Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic assembly of production attachments when required.
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks if necessary
- Attach components and adjust new equipment when required
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests from those at all levels of the company
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the company through making suggestions which would improve and streamline processes without endangering the health and well-being of others or negatively impacting the bottom line.
- Practice, monitor and promote workplace safety by adhering to safety regulations, policies and procedures.

**Your qualifications**:

- 5+ years of related experience
- Confident in operating machine tools such as lathes & grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery
- In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use and care
- Experience servicing hydraulic equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Time management skills to productively complete work and meet all deadlines
- Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate work in a logical manner
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 kg.
