**Job**: Back of House Shift Leader
**Job Type**: Full-time
**Hourly Rate**: Starting at $20
**Number of** **Positions Available**: 2
**Note: Must be able to work in-between the hours of 5:30am - 11:45pm, Monday to Saturday with full-time open availability of +40 hours a week.**
**NOTE: If successful in the interview process and given the job, all Shift Managers are placed in a Leader in Training program to develop the skills, competencies, and knowledge to be a successful Shift Manager at Chick-fil-A Yonge & Bloor.**
**Operational Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Lead daily Kitchen Operations including shift, break, food, inventory, and people management
- Adhere and Enforce HAACP and OSHA workplace guidelines
- Ensuring Chick-fil-A service and quality standards are performed at ALL times
- Adhere and Enforce food safety and quality standards
- Manage team member performance through job coaching, performance conversation, training, and progressive discipline
- Ensure an inclusive, and wholesome work environment for team members
- Monitor the use of restaurant inventory and be a good steward of resources
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance checklists are followed
- Meet on a monthly basis and report achievement of targets to Kitchen Director
- Support all training initiatives including new employee training, product roll-outs, and continuous training
- Troubleshoot BOH operational systems and machinery when necessary
- Communicate important information to team members in a timely manner - effective downward and upward communication
- Support the vision of the Operator and Director Team
- **Note**: Shift Leader responsibilities are not limited to the ones listed above and from time to time may be required to perform additional duties to support business demands
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in the quick service, hospitality, and customer care industry
- Minimum of 1+ years of leadership experience managing teams, executing business plans, balancing food and labor costs
- Experience with developing talent, coaching, performance conversations, and progressive discipline
- Valid Ontario Food Handler's Card
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Full-Time Availability (overtime available)
- Seeking additional qualities - hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, honest, & passion to serve
- Pursuing or completed post-secondary education/diploma in hospitality, business, or restaurant food industry
- Can successfully uphold Chick-fil-A Yonge and Bloor Core Values of integrity, customer first, team work, continuous improvement and stewardship

Company Information
In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day.
