Preferred Work Experience:

- Commercial snow removal experience
- Cube van/ 5 tonne driving experience
- Trailer experience
- Can provide a clean drivers abstract
- Commercial winter driving
- Commercial construction experience
- Commercial landscaping experience
- Independently motivated. If you have nothing to do, look for something that needs to be done. If you cant find anything that needs to be done, ask your supervisor what you can do to help.
- Integrity, pride and respect. Integrity to face your mistakes and give credit where credit is due. Pride in oneself and their workmanship. Respect for your fellow workers.
- Attention to detail.

Workers must:

- Be safety oriented.
- Be able and prepared to be on call 7 days a week.
- Keep an eye on the forecast.
- Be physically fit enough to shovel snow by hand for up to 12 hours in a single day.
- Get themselves to their first job site or to our yard early in the morning each day.
- Complete proper documentation for each site, each day.

Job Duties
Workers are expected to remove snow from commercial properties using various hand tools, walk-behind equipment and ride-on equipment. This includes but is not limited to shovels, backpack blowers, Snorator’s (walk behind), and Ventrac’s
(ride-on equipment). On heavy snow days workers must be prepared for long hours and sometimes multiple days in a row.
Regular ice checks must also be performed daily. These days usually need less than half the work force. Crews will either rotate their team for ice check days or they may be asked to send a worker with very little hours. Ice check duties include salting icy spots, scraping sidewalks free of ice, chipping out problem areas.

Other odd jobs include helping our equipment technician in the shop, delivering equipment and materials around the city for our sites and setting up/taking down holiday lights and decorations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
