Welcome to Chronicle Brewing Company

We are looking for a craft beer enthusiast pursuing a career in Brewery Production who is a personable, energetic, and imaginative person. The ideal individual must be creative, highly motivated and possess strong organizational skills to ensure that projects and activities are completed on time.

To be eligible to participate in the Canada Summer Jobs program, applicants must;
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.

**International students are not eligible participants. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.

Position:
CSJ QC/Production Assistant (4 Month Contract - Part-Time)

**Location**:
Bowmanville, ON

Key Responsibilities:

- Yeast management and propagation
- Equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Assisting with packaging and cellar activities as required
- Other duties as required throughout the brewery
- Ensures health and safety regulations are followed

Critical Skills and Behaviours:

- Post-Secondary education
- Minimum two years in a production environment
- Good trouble shooting skills, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A problem solver with attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, with mínimal supervision
- Experience handling chemicals with an emphasis on cleaning and sanitizing protocols
- Experience in a production environment and packaging/bottling line required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- 8 hour shift
