Risk and Cost Control Manager

_Mission:_
- Responsible for controlling direct and indirect project costs and supporting Project Manager (“PM”) with planning and forecasting project’s budget. Closely monitors budget during all Project processes (i.e. procurement, workforce planning, analysis of productivity rates, etc.), providing relevant information supporting the decision-making. Hierarchically reporting to the Administration Finance & Control Manager (“AFC”) This role is permanent and full-time. _

**Main Tasks**:

- Start-up phase**:

- defines the hierarchical structure of the direct and indirect cost codes
- prepares bid reorganization according to previously defined control structure with the support of Corporate Technical Service Dept. Uploads bid data (control structures, quantities, cost analysis) in risk & cost control software (STR Vision);
- prepares bid reorganization booklet;
- elaborates budget organized by tender BoQ items vs Procurement Dept. for adoption of Procurement Plan as floor to Work Schedule;**:

- Budgeting phase**
- As of 31st March (FCT) and 30th September (BDG) of each year, under the coordination of PM (Process Owner) and AFC (Competence Line), elaborates budget in STR Vision and caters for:

- internal work schedule provided by Planning Dept.;
- contractual variation orders defined with Employer provided by Contract Dept.;
- updates quantities provided by Technical Dept.;
- estimates unit costs of permanent material and rental or purchase of plant & equipment and subcontracting provided by Procurement Dept.;
- labour and equipment productivity rates ;
- indirect costs ;
- provides budget monthly cost distribution to AFC to prepare project balance sheets and cash flow;
- supports PM in defining risks & opportunities;
- prepares the budget/forecast booklet;**:

- Execution phase**

**Monthly activities**:

- Collects monthly site reports for Risk & Cost Control reporting;
- within the 5th: supports AFC for monthly rolling of revenues/(costs) forecast;
- within the 10th: reviews Internal Work Progress with Quantity Survey Dept.;
- within the 15th : uploads in STR Vision monthly actual quantities and costs to determine Earned Value;
- within the 17th: prepares the Flash Report with SPI and CPI KPIs with comments to major deviations vs. budget/forecast;
- within 25th : prepares and elaborates detailed cost deviation analysis in Cost Control Booklet

**Quarterly activities**:

- Support Site Management in “Performance Dialogue”;
- monitors risks & opportunities included in budget/forecast

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- English written and spoken;
- At least 10 years of experience in quantity survey and estimation roles related to large-scale infrastructure, specifically light rail projects

**Required Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management or similar designation

**Salary Range**: $225,000-265,000 annually
