**Position Summary**

**Integration Analyst, Clinical Informatics, Digital Health**

**On a practical level, you will**
- Monitor interface performance and resolve data transfer issues promptly; conduct root cause analysis for interface errors and implement solutions.
- Work with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to understand data integration needs and collaborate with third-party vendors to support integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with HL7, FHIR, and other applicable healthcare data standards and stay updated on healthcare interoperability regulations (e.g. PHIPA).
- Prepare/support business case development, identifying opportunities, facilitating the proposal process, preparing and evaluating proposals, participating in the response process, and following up on outcomes.
- Demonstrate independent decision making as appropriate in evaluation of requests for system improvements and determines feasibility and advisability of system changes.
- Develop support tools and technical documentation for interfaces, workflows, and processes to communicate integration workflows, as needed.
- Participate in the development of testing scenarios and test scripts required to validate the design and build; in system upgrades and patching to ensure interface compatibility; conducts rigorous testing of interfaces before deployment.
- Work closely with clinicians, departmental leadership and project team member to clarify needs, prioritize requests, recommend technology design, workflow and execute change and adaptation of the system.
- Attend and actively participates in project events and meetings.
- Work in accordance with established hospital safety Policies & Procedures.

**Qualifications**
- Deep Understanding of HL7 messaging standards (v2.x and v3.x) and knowledge of FHIR, XML, JSON and API-based integrations
- Minimum 3 years working experience in HL7 interface development and support and proficiency with interface engines (e.g. Cloverleaf, or similar tools).
- Experience working in a health care environment
- In depth understanding of Hospital processes as they relate to clinical informatics; department preferred
- Familiarity in scripting or programming languages (e.g. SQL, Java)
