**About Youth Leadership HUB**:
ACCESS Leadership HUB offers wrap-around support for urban Indigenous youth, focusing on leadership development, career planning, and life skills with an emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). The HUB aims to empower Indigenous youth to realize their potential and achieve meaningful graduation outcomes through exposure to diverse career opportunities. By providing guidance and hands-on experiences in these fields, the HUB helps youth build confidence through work placements and community connections.

**Our Youth Leadership Coordinator has a variety of responsibilities including**:

- In collaboration with the Youth Programs Manager, implement youth programs and encourage youth engagement
- Greet and welcome Youth accessing ACCESS’ services, assess and respond to their immediate needs, and provide them with practical resources including food, clothing, transportation, etc.
- Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with at youth K-12
- Upon entry to the Youth Leadership Program, introduce the services provided, orient new youth, complete program intake/admission
- Work collaboratively with Youth Programs Manager to assist youth by to understanding Indigenous leadership programs - Duke of Edinburgh Leadership Program
- Support youth with daily routines in a structured environment
- Assist youth with accessing external community supports and accompany them if needed
- Coordinate youth meetings and activities, including recreation and life skills
- Build community partnerships with lower mainland school districts and other relevant organizations
- Ensure adherence to and role model ACCESS’ mission statement and core values

**Our Youth Leadership Coordinator is a key contributor and supports the program in the following ways**:

- Maintain the Youth database [ARMS database]
- Manage youth case files, including all relevant reporting and documentation
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the program areas - both staff and youth

**Our Youth Leadership Coordinator comes with the following technical competencies and credentials**:

- Certificate or Diploma in related social service
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with Urban Indigenous community and/or First Nations organizations
- Valid first aid certificate
- Valid class 5 driver’s license, a clean driving record, access to a personal vehicle and the willingness to obtain a class 4 driver’s license
- Design and implement STEAM-focused leadership and development programs for urban Indigenous youth.
- Handle documentation and communication related to STEAM activities and partnerships.
- Ability to take initiative and leadership as well as be a strong team playing that align with ACCESS’s core values
