Pool Opener

We are looking for pool openers to help get us started with the pool season this year. Working alongside out experienced service technicians, the role of our pool openers is to help with the first few steps of getting pools opened. From safely removing and cleaning pool covers to doing the first bit of cleaning, the pool openers will help to carry some of the heavy lifting required during a busy time of year. This is a great position for those either looking for a short term way to make as much as possible (openers can make up to 5000$ in the eight week season) as well as those looking to get started in the pool and spa industry For those that take well to the work or looking to start a career, we are more than happy to discuss extending the season with us or looking into full time work after pool openings are completed.

Please note for any university or college students interested in the role, we are able to help plan early training for the role around school and exam schedules.

❑ Must be flexible and accessible for training after hours and as required prior to starting.

❑ Must be able to commit to work any/all shifts including Saturdays as required, with no days off for the contract duration.

❑ Must have a valid class G driver’s license and a clean driving record with a minimum of 2 years driving experience. ❑ Must excel in all aspects of customer service and have some technical aptitude.

❑ Responsible for the preparation of tools, equipment, and products pertaining to each job sheet requirement.

❑ Responsible for inventory control and documentation of all products used during the opening service process. This includes the tracking inventory used, inventory on your service vehicle, tools and equipment required to complete each scheduled job. A weekly tool inventory track sheet will also be completed and submitted each week.

❑ Must perform a number of different jobs as delegated including pool openings, assisting in service calls, weekly maintenance, installations and deliveries to and from the business location.

❑ Must be able to perform physical labour, which requires heavy lifting.

❑ Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

❑ Must have own transportation to Bud’s Spas & Pools, Ancaster location as we are not on a bus route.
