**Job Overview** - LTL EXPERIENCED DISPATCHER

**Duties**
- **Scheduling Drivers: Dispatchers**assign drivers to specific loads and routes, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Managing the movement of LTL freight and ensuring efficient delivery operations. This includes scheduling drivers, planning routes, communicating with customers and drivers, and maintaining records. Address any issues that arise during transport and ensure compliance with regulations at all times.

Monitoring and Tracking:

- **Tracking Shipments**: They monitor the progress of shipments (LTL freight), keeping customers and management informed of their status.
- **Addressing Delays**:Dispatchers work to resolve any issues that cause delays, communicating with drivers and customers to find solutions.
- **Ensuring Compliance**:They ensure that all drivers are following regulations and maintaining accurate logs.

Customer Service and Communication:

- **Communicating with Customers**: Dispatchers communicate with customers about shipment details, delivery schedules, and any potential issues.
- **Resolving Customer Complaints**: They address customer concerns and strive to ensure customer satisfaction.
- **Maintaining Records**: They keep accurate records of dispatched calls, driver routes, and delivery schedules.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

- **Maintaining Logs**: Dispatchers maintain logs of dispatched calls, driver routes, and delivery schedules.
- **Generating Documents**: They generate necessary documents, including shipping (BOL's), documents and invoices.
- **Ensuring Accuracy**: They ensure that all records are accurate and compliant with regulations.

Other Responsibilities:

- **Coordinating Maintenance**:They may coordinate truck maintenance and repairs, ensuring vehicles are road-ready.
- **Troubleshooting**:They troubleshoot any issues that may arise during transport, working to find solutions.
- **Reporting**:They provide reports to management on the progress of shipments and any potential issues.
- **Route Optimization**:They plan the most efficient routes, considering factors like distance, traffic, and weather conditions.
- **Route Adjustments**:Dispatchers make real-time adjustments to routes based on unforeseen circumstances like accidents or delays.
- **Communication with Drivers**:They provide drivers with necessary information, including route details, delivery instructions, and any potential issues.

**Requirements**:

- Strong understanding of the Dispatcher's duties related in this field is a MUST.
- Strong analytical skills to assess needs and performance effectively within the office.
- Proficiency in data entry (Load Link), and familiarity with phone systems for effective communication.
- Experience with LOAD LINK (SOFT-WARE PROGRAM) is a MUST.
- Excellent phone etiquette for communicating with customers and brokers.
