As a member of the O’Dell Associates team you are valued, respected, encouraged, and provided the opportunity to grow within a well-established company in the HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) industry for 30+ years. We work across Ontario with engineers, building owners, mechanical and sheet metal contractors in both commercial and industrial settings.
We are currently looking to hire a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our growing team. This position is a full-time position and requires occasional travel to our offices across Ontario (GTA-Ottawa) to meet and work alongside employees.
O’Dell Associates offers a flexible working hybrid schedule that combines working in an office environment and from the comfort of your home.
Reporting to the President, you will support the company by participating in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with our goals. This role will oversee the HR function, and participate in key leadership meetings with the opportunity to recommend and execute new ideas for our growing company.

**What are you responsible for in this role?**
- Facilitating management and employee relations by addressing issues in a timely manner
- Oversee a performance management program that is driving a high-performing culture
- Designing and maintaining a Company-wide total compensation and benefits structure
- Oversee Company health and safety requirements and programs to maintain compliance and safe working environments
- Developing and overseeing a recruitment and onboarding strategy
- Ensuring the Company is legally compliant by monitoring and implementing applicable employment legislation requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records/updates
- Performing other HR projects and tasks assigned by Senior Leadership
**Do you have what we need?**
- The ability to develop and maintain positive business relationship with all levels of employees and management
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Completion of a post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related equivalent
- Completion of a CHRP designation; working towards a CHRL designation an asset
- A minimum of seven (7) years experience in progressive HR generalist role(s)
- Strong, working knowledge of employment-based legislation
- Experience with a Human Resources Management System (HRMS)
- A strategic thinker with a “big picture” mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
