**Department Overview**: At Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.
**As an Imaging Specialist, you will understand camera image quality performance metrics and develop a robust automation platform to support benchmarking of new features, increase image quality test coverage, and develop imaging algorithms for various camera products.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Tuning camera image quality on various CMOS sensors and ISP platforms
- Developing and carrying out image quality evaluation methods, from setting up lab measurements all the way to field testing
- Measuring & validating critical imaging parameters
- Reviewing Marketing and Product Requirements Document during feasibility and development
- Providing mentorship and image quality training to the team

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of digital imaging, color science, video coding and photography experience
- Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and enjoy photography
- Experience with ISP algorithms and designs, AWB, AE, AF and HDR/WDR algorithms
- Experience with image quality evaluation tools (e.g. Imatest, DxOMark) & tuning equipment
- Strong design and programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, Matlab, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

The base salary range for this position in British Columbia is 70,000 - 85,000 CAD depending on experience.
